HOW TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY

When was the last time you experienced anxiety?  When was the last time you felt really scared?

Do you realize that anxiety results from fear of future events?  That stress sometimes results from fear of not being able to complete a certain task on time.

We have all experienced fears, anxieties, and worries, and certainly we all want to become brave and full of courage. In this article I will tell you about one powerful tip that will help you become really brave.

A story of two men

Two innocent men were imprisoned by mistake; they were accused of killing someone. The two men were told that the judge would decide in two days whether they were guilty or not.

Of course being guilty meant that there were going to be executed.  As soon as the first man heard this he fell to his feet, and sobbed continuously the entire day; by the second day he was suffering from a nervous breakdown….

The second man on the other hand stood his ground and didn’t “break;” for a reason that wasn’t yet apparent.

After the two days passed, the judge found them both innocent, and they were free to go home. The first man, the one who sobbed continuously, felt really ashamed of himself (…for causing such a scene); while the second man was both happy and proud.

Why weren’t you afraid?

When their story became popular in town someone went to the brave man and asked him, “Why didn’t you feel afraid even though there was a great chance that you were going to be executed?”

The man replied saying “If I was going to go through that situation anyway, and if my emotions weren’t going to have any effect on the outcome, then why not live my life like a brave man?”

It’s your choice

Whether you like it or not, you will go through tough times.

Whether you collapse or stand your ground is a decision that you have to make.

Whether you are the bravest person on earth, or whether you become the most terrified of them all.

Why feel afraid then?  If you are going to pass through these tough times anyway, then why not pass through them like a warrior?

The two men in the jail responded in two completely different ways to this tough situation, yet both of them survived.  And even if both of them would have been executed, one of them would have considered himself strong, and the other weak.

The choice is up to you.  The outcome may be the same, but how do you want to be remembered.

In short, if you are going to live through tough conditions… live like a lion.
