HANOI, August 24, 2012 – The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi is currently seeking candidates for the 2012 Southeast Asia Youth Leadership Program (SEAYLP). Hanoi high school students in grades 10 and 11 who demonstrate leadership through academic work, community involvement and extracurricular activities and have a good command of English, are invited and encouraged to apply for the program. The program is subject to final approval from the U.S. Department of State. The application deadline is 5:00PM, Monday, September 17, 2012.
Funded by the U.S. Department of State, SEALYP is an intensive exchange program conducted in the United States from October 20 to November 19, 2012. The purpose of the program is to promote high quality leadership, civic responsibility, volunteerism and respect for diversity. The participants will be approximately 60 English-speaking high school students from ten member countries of ASEAN.
